How to Build a Caring Personality

A.      Self-Care
Self-care is the foundation of life; it is not a to-do list. It sprouts from deep within the heart as a fruit of self-awareness. To effectively care for others, you have to be self-aware: it is the only way you can touch both the core of your soul and that of others.
Indulging in self-care:
i.          Treat yourself as you would treat others: self-encouragement, self-comfort, self-reassurance and self-motivation. Fill your jar with awesome love so that you can serve others with the same awesomeness.
ii.        Take sufficient rest, eat well and exercise to rejuvenate your body.
iii.        Build a positive mental environment.
iv.         Set boundaries.

B.      Cultivate Caring Qualities
i.                     Be polite
ii.                    Be considerate
iii.                  Be affectionate
iv.                  Be thoughtful of other’s feelings
v.                   Be an active listener
vi.                  Be attentive to the actions of others
vii.                Exercise generosity
viii.               Pick your battles wisely
ix.                  Always be grateful to the people in your life
x.                   Rid yourself of ego and acts of selfishness
xi.                  Be flexible
